Zeekr Celebrates Production of 500,000th Vehicle

Premium electric vehicle manufacturer Zeekr, a brand under Geely, has reached a major production milestone with the rollout of its 500,000th vehicle. The landmark unit—a Zeekr 009 Grand MPV—was assembled at the company’s primary facility located in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, as confirmed in a company statement.

This achievement comes nearly four years after Zeekr introduced its first model, the Zeekr 001 shooting brake, in October 2021. In just 44 months, the brand has rapidly scaled its output to hit the half-million mark.

The 500,000th vehicle, the Zeekr 009 Grand, is a fully electric luxury minivan based on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) modular platform. It features a spacious footprint, measuring 5217 mm in length, 2024 mm in width, and 1812 mm in height, with an extended wheelbase of 3,205 mm. The cabin offers a premium 2+2 four-seat configuration for added comfort and space.

Performance-wise, the Zeekr 009 Grand is equipped with an 800V high-voltage architecture and houses a 108 kWh Qilin battery pack from CATL using ternary NMC chemistry. This setup enables a CLTC-certified range of 702 km. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system produces a combined output of 580 kW (777 hp), allowing the minivan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

Zeekr currently offers several models in China, including the Zeekr X compact SUV, the Zeekr 007 sedan, the Zeekr 007 GT shooting brake, the Zeekr 7X SUV, the Zeekr Mix minivan, and the Zeekr 001 FR sports car. 

In our market, however, only the Zeekr X is available.For a limited time and while stocks last, the single-motor Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) version of the Zeekr X is being offered at a reduced starting price of Rs 74.99 lakh—down Rs 10 lakh from its previous price. Meanwhile, the dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant continues to be priced at Rs 1.54 crore.

The RWD version of the Zeekr X features a 200 kW electric motor generating 343 Nm of torque, with a 0–100 km/h time of 5.6 seconds. The AWD model combines two motors for a total output of 315 kW and 543 Nm of torque, achieving the same sprint in just 3.8 seconds. Both models utilize a 66 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of 440 km (RWD) and 420 km (AWD).

Built on the SEA platform, the Zeekr X blends sleek styling with a sporty profile. It features a bold design with sharp creases, coupe-inspired proportions, and a long wheelbase of 2,750 mm. The SUV’s dimensions are 4450 mm in length, 1836 mm in width, and 1572 mm in height.
